We are heading into Thanksgiving week, which means pretty soon we are all going to be surrounded by delicious foods, family, friends, and probably a whole assortment of different beverages. I am a firm believer in being able to enjoy yourself and NOT feeling guilty, especially when it comes to food!
In order to prepare for Thanksgiving, not only have I been sharing a bunch of awesome, healthier versions of the usual favorites, but in our challenge groups we have also been focusing on getting our workouts done, doubling up when we can, and staying on track with our nutrition. We also have a “Healthy Holidays Roadmap” that has helped us to plan ahead and stay on track.
One of the things we will be doing to stay on track and continue taking care of ourselves through to the end of the year, is running a team-wide 3 Day Refresh group starting on November 30 (the Monday after Thanksgiving), followed by a 21 day FITmas challenge to take us up to Christmas Eve, with the ability to continue on afterwards and really end 2015 strong.
I know this time of year can be really hard to do any form of self-care, but last year I was able to make amazing changes to my health and fitness through easy to follow 30 minute daily workouts, and simple nutrition, and this year I am determined to help other be able to do the same!
